50 Years in the Royal Arch!

At the Regular Convocation of the United Service Chapter held on 18th January, 2007, E.Comp. Robert Samuel (Bob) Watson, PPrGScN, celebrated the 50th Anniversary of his Exaltation into the Royal Arch. It was on the 19th January, 1957, that E.Comp. Bob was Exalted in the Sekondi Chapter, No. 3238, in the Gold Coast (now renamed Ghana).

The presentation of his 50 year certificate was made by the Grand Superintendent, E.Comp. J.N.G. Howitt, who related some of E.Comp. Watson’s Masonic history while, in reply, E.Comp. Bob recalled some amusing anecdotes of his time as a Royal Arch Mason. Although the occasion was not a Ceremonial Visit, there was an almost complete turnout of the Principals and the Acting Officers of Provincial Grand Chapter and everyone present enjoyed a most happy occasion. Bob thoroughly enjoyed himself, both in the Chapter and at the Festive Board which followed.

Sadly, E.Comp. Bob Watson was called to the Grand Chapter Above just two weeks after his 50th Anniversary.
