The Mansfield Craft Lodge’s Charity Stewards, Chaired by W.Bro. M.A.Bull, Old Elizabethan Lodge, raises
money throughout the year to make donations to suitable local non-masonic causes. Such a donation has been made available to purchase a Recumbent Exercise Cycle for the Kings Mill Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Support Group. This volunteer support group raises money to buy much needed exercise equipment for the benefit of people who have suffered serious heart problems.
The Group also provides the administration to assist the physiotherapists in running rehabilitation exercise classes for patients.
Bro.Peter Wharmby, Ravenshead Lodge Charity Steward, is particularly pleased with the donation as he is one, amongst a number of other local Masons, who is benefiting from the use of such equipment and support after undergoing serious heart surgery.
The presentation took place on Tuesday 6th February, 2007 at Kings Mill Hospital.
