On the weekend of 9/10/11th of February 2007 nine members of Pinner Lodge No. 3300 and one of St. Giles Lodge No. 4316 accompanied by eight of their respective ladies travelled to Munich (Germany). This visit was arranged primarily to support W/Bro. Paul Ouseley a joining member of Pinner who was installed as Worshipful Master of his mother Lodge, The Southern Star Lodge No. 1025, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany, within the United Grand Lodges of Germany. On the Friday evening we attended, in formal dress, the fifth anniversary celebration of the Lodge at the “ Staatl. Hofbrauhaus am Platzi in the Erkerzimmer”. After an excellent traditional Bavarian meal and various Toasts the Brethren and ladies were presented with engraved commemorative drinking glasses. There was plenty of time on Friday and Saturday morning to visit the interesting sights of Munich including the Olympic Tower and Stadium. The Lodge was opened at 2-00 p.m. on Saturday at the “ Haus der Bruderhilfe “ and was attended by the M.W. Brother Frederick T. Colbran, the Grand Master, who gave the Address to the Brethren. He was escorted by several other Officers of the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany. At the subsequent Festive Board the W/Master of Pinner Lodge presented a silver goblet to the new W/Master to cement the bond of friendship between the two Lodges.

Good Hotel, Good Venue, Good Friendship, Great Hospitality, Very Good time had by all.
