On Thursday 21st. June 2007, the Masonic Hall at Goldsmith Street was plunged into darkness as a consequence of a power cable being inadvertently severed on the building reconstruction site across the road at Nottingham Trent University. Some thought to blame the power failure on the Summer Solstice but, in the end, it was a man-made phenomenon!
A cheque for £3,670 was recently presented to Prof. John Scholefield by the Provincial Grand Master of Nottinghamshire R.W.Bro. Robin K Wilson to add to the fund for the purchase of a Capsule Endoscopy Machine, this being the Charity of Cllr. Peter Barnes in his year of Office as Chairman of Notts County Council. Elliott Lodge Garden Party Sunday 15th July 2007.
W Master Jon Boulton and his helpers spent many hours in preparation at his Rainworth home and over 100 were due to attend the garden party.
The Provincial Grand Master of Nottinghamshire – Rt. W. Bro. Robin Wilson, is shown presenting, on the 24th July, a cheque to Rev. Dr. Gordon Gatward OBE of The Arthur Rank Centre of £5,000 of which our Province gave £3,000 towards flood victims in the farming community. Also in the picture is W Bro. Bill Stansby Provincial Grand Charity Steward and Mr Tom Bradley of the farming charity.
The Province were pleased to donate two printing units from the "Provincial Charity of Nottinghamshire Free Masons" to the "Citizens Advice Bureau". These were accepted by Courtenay Ibbotson on behalf of CAB from the Provincial Grand Master of Nottinghamshire RW Bro. Robin K Wilson, accomapnied by W. Bro. Diabetic Service Equipment - Nottingham City Hospital

In his year of office as Master of University Lodge No. 7598, W. Bro. Jack Craig, himself a diabetic, made his charity the diabetic unit at the City Hospital, Nottingham. He raised the sum of £2500 for the unit to spend on equipment to improve its service to patients at the outpatient level.

The N.P.A.C. is not all police and ex-police, and there are seven Masons amongst it's ranks doing some wonderful 'hands-on' work for charity. The warehouses are at Mansfield, Meden vale and Ilkeston and we welcome individuals or groups to assist us.
