Mansfield Charity Stewards Buy Camping equipment For Scout Group
Bro A E Scothern of Kirkeby Lodge, a keen Scout Leader, helped to form the 1st Kirkby in Ashfield Scout Troop. The Troop was dreadfully short of camping equipment, and he made application to the Mansfield Charity Stewards for assistance. The Charity Stewards were pleased to assist, and the accompanying photograph shows Chairman of the Charity Stewards W Bro M A Bull handing over a cheque to Group Scout Leader Bro A E Scothern in the sum of £492.03. The equipment has already been tested, and Bro Scothern reports that it has already contributed to the children`s safety and enjoyment.
