2007 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND ANNUAL DINNER

The 88th Annual General Meeting was held at Ruddington Grange Golf Club on Friday 30th March 2007. There were 59 members present. The President, W.Bro. Mike Daniel (Magnus), welcomed the Rt.W. Bro. Robin Wilson, the Provincial Grand Master.

Charity donations of £1,000 were made as follows: Masonic Samaritan Fund 2007 £300, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance £100, Matron’s Amenity Fund at Oadby (RMBI) £100 and The Ear Foundation £500.

W.Bro. Kevin Shaw (Bentinck) was elected as the new President. The retiring secretary, David Roberts (Bestwood), was thanked for all his hard work and support over the last 22 years. David came onto the Committee in 1985 and was elected Secretary in 1995. In 2000, he combined the roles of both President and Secretary. The following were elected: W.Bro. David Shakespeare (St Mary’s) as President-Elect, W. Bro. Mike Bardill (Old Elizabethan) as Treasurer, W.Bro. Derek Prudham (St Mary’s) as Secretary, W.Bro. Bill Haynes (Dame Agnes Mellers) as Match Secretary, W.Bro. Kevin Shaw as Auditor and W.Bro. Peter Wells (De Vere) as Provincial Charity Representative. W.Bros. John Bassford (Radcliffe), Tony Breeze (Lady Bay) and Brian Ross (Bramcote) were elected onto the Committee.

The AGM was immediately followed by the Annual Dinner.
