The members of the Semper Fratres Lodge have again shown their commitment to Charitable fund raising lead by their W. M. Darrell Simpson. Events such as a Skittles night, summer barbeque, Ladies night, race evening and raffles within the Lodge had raised a total of £1800 to be given to his chosen Charities.

At the Installation meeting held on Thursday 8th March 2007 the W. M. Darrell Simpson was able to present a cheque to the Neonatal Unit at the City Hospital for £1200 which was received by Dr Craig Smith Clinical Director of the Nottinghamshire Neonatal Unit and Chairman of the Neonatal Charity Trust who had been invited into the Festive Board for the purpose.

He accepted the cheque with grateful thanks and said that the donation would be used to purchase two pieces of equipment for the unit.

Additionally the W. M. was also able to present a cheque to the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Richard Davis for £600 to go to the Provincial Charity. This donation was also well received and APGM Richard Davis said that it would very quickly be put to good use.

The W. M. Darrell Simpson took the opportunity to thank the Brethren for their renewed efforts in raising such a large sum of money for his chosen Charities.

Many events are planned for the ensuing year under the leadership of W. Bro James Taylor at whose Installation the donations were made.
