Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association.
One of my aims as Editor of this site is to bring to the attention of Masonic Brethren aspects of the craft they might not be otherwise be aware of especially Associations linked with the Province.
This achieves 2 aims – it publicises the good work and friendship of these associations and may kindle some enthusiasm for actively joining them and swelling their numbers.
The first of these is that of: Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association
This is a motorcycling-riding club, comprising of an internationally based group of independent Masons who enjoy the thrill of riding with other members of the fraternity and also other motorcycle clubs.
The local association has been involved recently in group rides to:
The Easter Egg Run, Bottesford – 1st April 2007 Bushy’s Bash, Donnington - 28th April 2007 The ThunderSprint, Northwich – 13th May 2007 The Ostrich Festival, Derbyshire – 7th July 2007
but also becomes involved in charity events, currently the next one planned is for:
A Christmas Toy Run organised by the Triumph Owners Club on Sunday Dec.9th meeting at the Red Lion pub Bottesford, Notts.
This run is planned to go to Grantham Leisure centre to hand in toys for needy kids. Start is usually 11-00 a.m.
