1st for Pelham Lodge

All Past Masters are aware of how special their year is in the chair. However the Worshipful Master of Pelham Lodge this term can really boast of his “special” year. Having been installed in April 2007 he preceded over the dedication of the new lodge banner in May (see previous issue of Nottinghamshire Mason) and this was quickly followed by representing the lodge at the Big Day celebrations. However just to ensure that he would not forget his year in the chair the WM became a father. It is thought this is the first time (certainly in recent history) that the Master of the lodge has become a father during his term in the chair. Fortunately for the lodge the Worshipful Master (helped by his wife of course!) had the foresight to arrange for a son and not a daughter and the brethren look forward to welcoming him as a member in due course, apparently he is already quite adept at ritual!
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE MASONIC - SATURDAY MORNING GROUP
As we enter 2008 we can confidently look forward to what promises to be an entertaining and varied twelve months ahead but members must take the credit for making 2007 a successful year. With money raised we have donated £ 2,400.00 towards the purchase of two wheelchairs, new tableware and kitchen equipment for the Masonic Hall at Goldsmith Street, Nottingham. Our photograph shows Mr. Robin Bailey accepting a cheque on behalf of the Hall from Chairman, Aileen Wright and Vice-Chairman, Gill Hitch.
