It is sad to report that Notts Engineers Lodge No 8739 will be holding its last Lodge meeting on Tuesday 19th February 2008 at Chilwell.
This Lodge was consecrated on the 22nd April 1977 by R W Bro. C H V Elliott TD MA , Provinicial Grand Master of Nottinghamshire and its only surving founder W. Bro H J Rose PPrJGW will with the other current members carry out the last Masonic ceremony for this Lodge at 18.30 hrs which will then close at 19.00 hrs approximately.
(W. Bro Julian Rose also acts as Liaison Officer to Nottinghamshire Province for London Nottinghamshire Lodge no. 5133., being the 2nd longest serving member of that Lodge also)
From 19.00 hrs, wives, friends, are joining all the attending Brethren to make this a “Night to remember", reflecting on past meetings & social events which took place whilst also looking forward to new friendships which hopefully will be forged as members disperse to other Lodges.
The meal price has been set at £12.50 with wives attending for free and should anyone wish to attend there are a few tickets still available from W. Bro. Julian (Rose) but these are only available until Monday 18th at 12.00 hrs
