Saturday Morning Group.

As we gathered for the first meeting of the New Year, members welcomed our January speaker, Hilary Brian, who gave an excellent flower demonstration. As the National Chairman of the Church of England Flower Arrangers Association, Hilary, related some of the many floral events she has attended throughout the dioceses and her frequent visits to York Minster. Praise was also given to the many other florists in the Anglican Church, especially those who designed and arranged the flowers for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The arrangers’ were each sent a signed, ‘Order of Service’ from the Queen in recognition of their work. As the meeting closed three lucky members were presented with the floral arrangements from the morning demonstration.
