New SRIA Study Circle Welcomes Masonic Brethren
The 'Alan G Davis Study Circle' is open to all Master Masons of an enquiring mind as well as SRIA members who would like to attend, and will run for three to four hours, including a break for a light buffet lunch. (See details below.)
Corpus Christi Preceptory 462 celebrates its 100th meeting
The surviving founders of the Corpus Christi Preceptory of Knights Templar No 462, R E Kt D G R Lovett KCT, V E Kt W D Tyson and E Kt O N Hall are pictured along with the Provincial Prior for Nottinghamshire, Rt E Kt M D Morris and Provincial Sub Prior, E Kt A C Rainbow on the occasion of a ceremonial visit by the acting officers of the Provincial Priory of Nottinghamshire on Wed 16 July 2008 to mark the 100th meeting since the consecration in 1975.
On May 10th 2008 the De Sutton Lodge held their Ladies Evening at the Oakham Suite Mansfield Masonic Hall on what was probably the hottest night of the year inside as well as out.

Rivermead Lodge 8444 - 250th Meeting celebration.
Rivermead Lodge 8444 was consecrated in October 1972 at the Masonic Hall, Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, and on April 10th 2008 celebrated a milestone in its short history, its 250th meeting.

Thoresby Lodge 3106 Donation to Notts/LIncs Air Ambulance
On Tuesday 1st July 2008, W. Bro. Derek Pratt, Master of the Lodge 2007-2008, and accompanied by SW Peter Olko had much pleasure in presenting to the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance the sum of £500 as Derek's nominated Charity.
In the UK, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 came into force on 1 January 2005. Apart from exemptions relating to Public Security, Privacy of the Individual, etc, the general principle is to give citizens the right to access information held by Public Authorities unless this can be shown not to be in the Public interest.
As many may remember from my first editorial within Nottinghamshire Mason fishing is my pursuit of mine and I made reference to the fact that I hoped to set up perhaps a Nottinghamshire Provincal competition or Inter-province competition but the response was poor given what I consider is the hub of the best seat of fish learning – the Trent and the Midlands
Goods to the value of £1000 comprising of a Belling Gas Range Cooker, toaster, slow cooker and a grill were presented to Suzie Wright of the LIFE Community Interest Company by the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Robin Wilson on Wednesday July 2nd 2008. Also shown is student Sarah Godfrey.
