Rivermead Lodge 8444 - 250th Meeting celebration.
Rivermead Lodge 8444 was consecrated in October 1972 at the Masonic Hall, Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, and on April 10th 2008 celebrated a milestone in its short history, its 250th meeting.
After the lodge meeting , lodge members, guests and wives, 65 in total, sat down to an ‘open’ festive board in the Belgrave Suite.
The Worshipfull Master introduced ‘ The Three Wise Men’ W Bro Bert Stringer, W Bro Mike Sanders and W Bro. Norman Anderson, the three remaining founder members, seen in the photograph from left to right.
Each had a few memories to relate as had W Bro Derek Wells and W Bro Mel Akers (whose respective claims to fame were that of naming the lodge and being the first initiate!)
Everyone present enjoyed the evening and all are looking forward to the 500th meeting!!
