Pinner Lodge 3300 perform a Triple Initiation ceremony
# By W Bro PWJ Elvin, P Pr JGW on 26th September, 2008, in Events
Pinner Lodge No 3300 in the Province of Nottinghamshire had the distinct fortune and pleasure of performing a Triple Initiation ceremony in the Ionic Temple at The Masonic Hall, Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, on Saturday 20th September 2008. This unique event had its origin during a conversation at last year's Ladies Festival thus starting the sequence of events which culminated in the Initiation. When the question was asked of the three men as to whether they had considered becoming Freemasons, the reply came "We haven't been asked." The rest, as they say, is history.
The photograph depicts the three friends who were Initiated together at the Special Meeting on Saturday 20th September 2008 in the Ionic Temple at Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, together with their sponsors.
Masons from several Nottinghamshire Lodges have braved all to appear in a 2009 calendar. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be supporting the Mansfield Masonic Hall Building Fund. It will be on sale from October. The calendar pictures masons in their many different leisure activities as well as posing in their regalia. It is the brainchild of Sally Cook a manager at Mansfield Masonic Hall. It is hoped Masons from around the province will purchase the calendar for its intrinsic Masonic value as well as giving support to the building fund which will be to the benefit of Mansfield Masons and all visiting Brethren.
