A project led by our Charity Steward Bro Brian Rollitt is gaining momentum. Bro Rollitt, a former Grenadier Guardsman, is aiming to assist through a Newark Patriotic Fund to help members of the forces and their families through difficult times. Often injured servicemen are away from home and families find it hard to afford time from work or costs involved to visit their loved ones.

Already Fleming Mark Lodge intend to donate £200.00 ,Newark on Trent ,RAM ,£180.00 and Newark Craft Lodge £50.00. Bro Rollitt held his Birthday party at the Masonic Hall and from donations in lieu of presents acheived over £500.00.

The next fund raising activity is in the form of a Quiz night. This is to be held on Friday 28th November, 7.30pm for 8 pm. At a cost of £7.50 it will include Steak Pie, peas and mash, followed by desert..

The very able quiz masters are W Bro Chris Grant and W Bro Jim Malloy. and a good night will be had by all., with excellent prizes for the winners.

Already the event is well subscribed but late applications will be acceptable for brethren ,wives, partners and friends.
