Nottinghamshire Widows and Sons join "Ride to the Wall"
A contingent of Masonic Widows and Sons Motorcyclists, including those from Nottinghamshire attended the Remembrance Day service at the National Memorial Arboretum near Burton on Trent on 11th October 2008.
At the memorial there is a ‘wall’ with 16000 names on, remembering our troops that have died since WW2 through one cause or another. This ride to the wall pays respect to them as well as raise funds for its upkeep.
The picture shows Widows & Sons members, in the company of 2500 other bikers who paid respect to the fallen of the tri services, note the rough and smooth ashlars in the Masonic garden to the fallen.
In all the contingent of riders formed a procession of some 10 miles.
