Edwinstowe Lodge No 3998 Donation gives a lift to the Ashfield Developments and Accommodation Project.

The Ashfield Developments and Accommodation Project receives a donation of £1000 collected during 2008 by the Edwinstowe Lodge No 3998, towards the cost of a special ARJO bath that takes some of the backache out of bathing, enabling the carer to work at the correct height and assist in the ease of transfer of the tenant.

The ADA charity was formed by parents to meet the various needs of their children with learning disabilities/mental handicap creating a supported living environment. The Beeches at Sutton in Ashfield was the first specially built bungalow to meet their tenants very specific needs.

Every year Edwinstowe Lodge selects a worthy local charity to receive their donation and were greatly impressed with the standard of care provided by the dedicated staff and parents, feeling the installation of the bath will make their lives just that little bit more comfortable. In 2009 the selected charity is the Fountaindale Special School Mansfield.
