2nd International Conference on the History of Freemasonry
The second International Conference on the History of Freemasonry (ICHF) will be held 29 May - 31 May 2009 in Freemasons' Hall, Edinburgh.
There are a few places left anyone interested in attending is required to register very soon. Please see: http://www.grandlodgescotland.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=418&Itemid=115
You might also be interested to know that the Masonic Apron worn by Robert Burns as a member of Lodge St. Andrew, No,197, (Dumfries), has been restored and will be unveiled by the Earl of Elgin and Kincardine, Part Grand Master, at ICHF.
On Monday, 1st June, a SPECIAL meeting of The Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary's Chapel), No.1 will be held for Freemasons attending ICHF. This will be a 'once in a lifetime' meeting. Space is limited and so those Freemasons who attend ICHF will be given preference.
Finally, it is our understanding that the Sunday Times yesterday ran an article about ICHF and in particular an exclusive about the conference and the newly restored Burns Masonic Apron.
Yours sincerely and fraternally
Grand Secretary Grand Lodge of Scotland
