On 24th June 2009, His Excellency Dr Kenneth David Kaunda - the first and former President of Zambia was in Nottinghamshire to endorse the work of the Nottinghamshire Police Aid Convoys - the vigorous local charity populated by many local Masons.

It was a beautiful day in North Nottinghamshire that saw almost 400 Nottinghamshire Freemasons once again converge on the tranquil setting that is Worksop College for their annual Cheese and Wine event, hosted by RWBro Robin Wilson, PGM.
The Annual Convocation of Provincial Grand Chapter on Friday 15th May 2009 marked the culmination of a trilogy of Provincial appointments for Excellent Companion Tony Hopewell; establishing what may in fact be a unique record within the Province of Nottinghamshire.

On Friday June 5th, along with the Leaders of all of the English and Welsh Mark Provinces, our Provincial Grand Master, R W Bro Michael Gutteridge and his wife Maureen were privileged to witness the naming ceremony of the new Tamar Class Lifeboat “Mark Mason”, stationed at Angle in Pembrokeshire.
