It was wet and blustery when members of Nuthall Temple Lodge 6011 presented a cheque for £3473 in aid of the Hospice Ripple Appeal, which is raising funds to build a new care centre.
This will allow improved disabled access, facilities for creative activities, rooms for private family meetings and more space for day care activities as the current building is operating at full capacity.
Lodge members contributed generously at Lodge meetings, raffles, and donations in lieu of expensive Christmas cards. The Ladies Festival raised £438 towards the total that included £80 raised by W.Bro.Bill Corbett who entertained guests with his magic tricks.

Building work has now started on the site with contractors preparing to lay foundations and is expected to take 30 weeks to complete.
