Installation of a Lewis and a Lewis in Law - Rotary Lodge 3941

Wednesday 7th October 2009 was a special night for Nottingham Rotary Lodge No. 3941 in the Province of Nottinghamshire in that it saw the Installation of a Lewis and a Lewis in Law

Worshipful Brother Ian Turner was installed in the Chair of King Solomon by his father, WBro Roger Turner, the Lodge Assistant Director of Ceremonies, with the address to the Worshipful Master being given by his father in law, WBro Melvyn Evans. the Lodge Treasurer.

The current Worshipful Master WBro Keith Potter graciously gave his permission for Ian’s father, WBro Roger Turner to act as Installing Officer during the Inner Workings.

Ian met his bride-to-be Melanie, at the Ladies Evening of WBro Ray Carnell, who is now the Lodge Director of Ceremonies, back in November 1999.

Ian was proposed in to Freemasonry by WBro Kevin Davis, who is now the Lodge Secretary, and initiated 7th November 2001.

The Installation was well attended, with an excellent and sincere Ceremony,
followed by a most convivial and friendly Festive Board.
