It was back in February 1976 that Bro Kt Bill Tyson, now V Em Kt, proposed the toast to the first candidate into Corpus Christi Preceptory shortly after its consecration in 1975 and so it is of special significance that Bill now proposes the retirement toast to that same candidate, Rt Em Kt Michael Morris as Provincial Prior for Nottinghamshire, some 34 years later at the Festive Board at West Bridgford Masonic Hall on 29th January 2010. Michael’s journey through the Order, which brought him honour and popularity wherever he went both in his own Province and that of Great Priory, culminated in being only the fourth Provincial Prior since the Provincial Priory of Nottinghamshire was founded in 1969. A mutual friendship brought about by freemasonry over 40 years ago. Bill presented on behalf of the Preceptory a sterling silver cut glass Hoggett decanter and mahogany base to mark his retirement and a standing ovation from all present.
