Urgent Appeal for Volunteer Drivers The Women's International Hockey Champions Trophy Tournament, is comming to Nottingham between the 10-18 July 2010 and the organisers of this tournament urgently require Volunteer Drivers
Brief Role Description
• Driving individuals/small groups in cars/minibuses as determined by the Transport Manager.
Essential Skills
• Full clean driving licence • Well presented • Knowledge of locality and surrounds
Other Requirements / Information
• Available for some rotas from Monday 5th July increasing to full rotas through the whole event..
What we will give you:
• A range of Champion Crew branded kit suitable for your appointed role that can be retained after the event. • Vouchers for food and soft drinks for each shift. • Access to hot drinks and water in a dedicated Champion Crew rest area throughout the event, when on duty. • Acknowledgment in the event programme and a certificate on completion of the event. • An accreditation pass providing access to watch some matches, when either on a break or not scheduled to volunteer, subject to availability in this designated area.
It’s also your chance to get experience and add to your volunteering CV before 2012. There are lots of roles available in 12 different areas of the event delivery.
The Champions Trophy is the biggest annual tournament in world hockey with six of the world’s top hockey playing nations competing every year. For the first time ever, the event will be held in England in 2010, giving sports fans in this country the perfect opportunity to see world class international hockey live and up close. From 10-18 July 2010 the Samsung Hockey Champions Trophy will be held in Nottingham and will see England’s women (ranked 6th in the world) taking on the Netherlands (1st), Argentina (2nd), China (3rd), Germany (4th) and New Zealand (9th) in six exciting matches over nine days.
Running alongside the Samsung Hockey Champions Trophy, Women, Nottingham 2010 will be a four nations men’s test series involving Great Britain, Germany, Japan and New Zealand. For the GB men the tournament will provide an early opportunity to impress the coaches and stake a claim for London 2012.
