New Bears to aid promotion of Teddies for Loving Care

By popular demand TLC have produced two Teddies which can be sold for funds. These are totally different from TLC Teddies that are donated to A & E Units as they are intended to promote TLC to the Brethren and others, as well as acting as a “fundraising item”.

These TLC Teddies (see photograph) have been trialled in Essex and they have been received with great acclaim as they are attractive, very soft & cuddly and a great PR item as well.

The bears which have been made to resemble the TLC Logo as closely as possible are badged with ‘TLC’ on the left foot and have a tag which tells the purpose of TLC and its history. They come in two sizes, 16 & 25 inch, both of which can be purchased as a gift by individuals or by Lodges. The sale price is £8 for the 16 inch and £15 for the 25 inch.

However, the TLC committee for Nottinghamshire would like every lodge to raffle or auction a bear(s) during the 2010/11 Masonic season. With this in mind all secretaries will be contacted to ask if their lodge will participate. Each participating lodge will receive a free 25 inch bear to raffle or auction as they so desire. It is hoped that all lodges will welcome this initiative and assist the Province to continue to sustain this worthy charity across our community.
