Newark Hospital latest recruit for the TLC
W Bro John Bassford [TLC Notts Secretary] recently had to attend Newark Hospital A&E for a minor injury and using his silken tongue extolled the virtues of Teddies for Loving Care. As a result contact was made with Michael Thomson the A&E Department Leader who has recently taken up the post at Newark. I followed up with a call and a visit to the hospital where I met Michael and explained the charity in detail. Michael has since confirmed that Newark would like to join in and receive bears. This is good news as a previous approach did not move forward.
The first batch of bears has now been despatched and the scheme will be running properly at Newark as from September.
