The Mansfield Craft Lodge's Charity Steward, chaired by W. Bro Michael Bull, Old Elizabethan Lodge, raises money through the year to make donations to suitable local non-masonic causes. A donation of £841 has been made to Fountaindale School to purchase ten 'BIG Macks'. No, not items from the famous fast food chain, but BIG Mack Communicators. These are single message communications devices which can be programmed to give speech or sounds or even to switch on other equipment. Ideal for young people with severe disbilities, as a learning aid as well as a communications device. The Charity Stewards who attended the presentation had the benefit of a brief conducted tour of the school. The school is celebrating its 50 years anniversary this year.
