NOTTINGHAMSHIRE'S CANDIDATE INFORMATION PROGRAMME LEADS THE WAY

The Candidate Information Programme, introduced by the Provincial Grand Master following his installation in 2005, has now successfully completed two series of events (September 2006 and February 2007) at each of the Masonic Centres in the Province ~ with over 550 potential candidates, newly initiated brethren, their ladies and supporters attending each of the presentations.

Furthermore, the Nottinghamshire Initiative has now been fully endorsed by United Grand Lodge and looks set to become national policy for the future for, in March 2007, the Pro. Grand Master, Lord Northampton, told the Quarterly Communication of U.G.L. that potential recruits to Freemasonry must be informed about the objectives and merits of the Craft right from the start so that candidates know what to expect from joining the Craft and what will be expected of them. (See April Edition of MQ Magazine ~ Page 26). The Nottinghamshire programme completely fulfils the Pro. Grand Master’s wishes in this respect ~ and more.

The next series of events are scheduled for November 2007 and fuller details will be posted on www.NottinghamshireMason.com , each Masonic Centre and the Provincial Website when final arrangements have been made ~ Watch This Space.
